I the guitar came in a nice modern foam hardcase ((It's much like this Kala baritone ukulele case [[https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/BariUkeCase--kala-baritone-ukulele-case]] )) and that is good for transport, but not for walking around at living history events.  So I am exploring something my 16c counterpart might have made or had made to use in this setting.

-===== Soft Case? =====+==== Hardened Leather Case? ====
+I do keep returning to the idea of making it some leather "armor". But I think that would be best accomplished by making a wooden form to shape it on and I have not committed to that yet.  I think it may be what I end up doing. I have done hardened leather for bottles (waxed) and armor (waxed or "boiled") in the past. So it might be nice to dust off those skills.

Currently for carrying the guitar while walking around I am wrapping it in a rectangle of wool and placing that in a shaped net bag I made out of hemp. This temporary solution is working well.  Which of course means I am in no rush to make something else.  Currently for carrying the guitar while walking around I am wrapping it in a rectangle of wool and placing that in a shaped net bag I made out of hemp.
