• I am playing lying down. I am able to sit and play but it is not comfortable. Lying down does effect the angle of the instrument to my hands and so does negatively change the sound. But it is a compromise I make for my back. When I have performed in public I sit, stand, or walk. I most enjoy walking and playing. But that only works for pieces I have memorized and makes it hard to record (at least with my setup).
• The first four recordings below were made before I purchased a decent mic. So the sound improves with Leroy 3 17r-v due to that change. (Before that it is the mic built into the webcam)
• When not playing from memory, I am playing from facsimiles of original tab. The exception to this is when I play pieces by A'lonso Mudarra in a practice session with other composers. Then I play from copies of his music transcribed from his Italian tablature into French tablature. While I do work from facsimiles of his tab, I have trouble going back and forth between Italian tab and French tab. Italian tab reverses the order of the strings as represented in French tab and switching between them causes me some confusion. Since the vast majority of music for four course guitar is in French tab, I stick with that.

• The recordings are done with an edge detection filter. I do this to highlight my hands without going down the video editing rabbit hole of lighting, color, etc.
